School Remedy Helps
Columbus Area Schools:

  • Provide intensive therapeutic services for students attending local school districts.
  • Increase their continuum of mental health supports for general and special education students who are not responding to conventional school-based mental health interventions.
  • Provide additional options in lieu of home instruction or sending students to more restrictive out of district placements.
  • Work with the child's IEP team to provide comprehensive therapy in the least restrictive environment.

"I began using School Remedy in October 2015 as an option for a child displaying extreme inappropriate behaviors.  The therapist worked with both home and school, and we have seen dramatic results with behavior decreasing, and work completion increasing.  What is wonderful about this option is that the child remains in their home school, and we provide special education as a service not a placement."
